I am beyond thrilled with my group for the last New Media project of the year. We are all hardworking,and love to bounce around ideas.\u00a0The only limitations are that the video has to be educational and be able to live on the Creative Academy’s website.<\/p>\n

Concept<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our concept revolves around dancing, but not in its technical form. There is a sense of freedom and exhilarating\u00a0joy that comes from the ability to let go, and we wanted a video that shows you what you need to do to be able to get to that point. Through the use of typography, visuals, and slow motion paired with rapid motion,\u00a0we’re trying to bring out the emotional side from the viewer. At the end of the video, we want people to just get up and dance and feel like anyone can do it.<\/p>\n

After hashing out our ideas, Maria Billorou and I went into the studio to see what sort of lighting would work. We messed around with several lights, as well as colored gels to create colored overlays and shadows on the walls. We experimented with black and white\u00a0backdrops, as well as trying to incorporate natural lighting.<\/p>\n
