Yesterday my fellow classmate Holly Roa and I drove out to Monroe to film at the Twin Rivers Brewery. My former coworker was kind enough to let us spend the day with them in their tiny brewing space, while they cooked up some IPA. The photo above shows Chris stirring a huge pot of what looks like oatmeal, which extracts the sugars from the grain. What is left over is called spent grain, which they donate to local farmers to feed their pigs, a local soap lady, and in the near future maybe converting the spent grain into dog treats.

This is a sprinkler system set in place to cool down the mixture in order to get it to the perfect temperature. A difference in 2 degrees Fahrenheit can change thickness of the beer.

All in all this was a very positive and informative experience! I can’t wait to start learning Adobe Premiere and begin the post-production process.
